I failed to rise early this morning, so I had to get my Wii Fit exercising in with The Little Boys at home and conscious. Which means I was interrupted with pleas to join in.
So, before getting my time in, I set the boys up to do a few things. They LOVE the run – probably because it’s easy to do and they can’t sit still anyway.
The big hit of the day, though, was the downhill skiing. Luke and Sam took turns and “helped” each other by skiing side-by-side – one using the balance board and the other just on the carpet. Then they’d switch.
The funny thing about the skiing is that the Mii will pass through the finish line in a very jovial manner, waving to the crowds with his poles. But, when the score shows up, he hangs his head dejectedly and the music mourns his sad score with him.
It is hilarious to watch the kids’ reaction to this. Sam (who misses most of the flags since he barely moves) was ecstatic as his Mii passed over the finish line. He congratulated himself and bounced around. But when the music saddened and his Mii started to hang his head, Sam stared at the screen, looked disappointed and said, “UH-OH!!!”
It cracked me up! I couldn’t help laughing. Hard. Hearing me, Sam turned around, stared at me, and proclaimed, “You’re being MEAN!” Which just caused me to laugh harder.

You were BUSTED! That’s so funny. One night, Jason and I stayed up for hours trying to get the “happy music” on the downhill skiing event (we’d had a little bit of beer, so it was a super-challenge). I think we probably reacted very much like Sam did until we finally made it to the victory dance.
