Nothing is simple around this house.
Nice, dontcha think? This is what lies beneath the tile in our bathroom. Our plan was to remove and replace the grout. Looks like our project has expanded.

You were planning a whole bath remodel right? I mean with all the “luck” you’ve had with the house so far. I’m so so very sorry…see you shoulda just stayed here in TN.

It is never that easy…you should think about a new diverter at this point if you are going to tear off the tile. It kind of looks like your hot and cold knobs are reversed…unless I am looking at this wrong. There is also a small blond headed boy staring at us in the tub spout!!!!

To morethananelectrician: Yes, we should put in a new diverter. Problem is, we just spent more than $100 replacing the valve stems. Oh, and the hot and cold aren’t reversed, just the little caps – an oops on my part. But really, what difference does it make since we can’t use the tub anytime soon? Funny you saw Sam in the spout – I hadn’t noticed.
