Tampa

January 19th, 2010 · 3 Comments · Adventures, Family, Friends, Girl Time

Maria and I just got home from spending the weekend in Tampa, FL.  Neither of us had ever been, so we were thrilled to be “obligated” to go for our newest Goddaughter’s baptism.

It was odd, going from winter to summer in just a few hours.  The climate was wonderful – warm and balmy and breezy.  And the view from the house was incredible – the water came right up to the back of the house.  The view inside the house, though, topped everything, as this was where Savannah Grace spent most of her time.

Maria had a blast with her good friends Riley and Max and loved doting on Savannah.  I mentioned to her that she’ll love having a baby brother, too, and she agreed, but also informed me that “girls are better than boys.”

I was so happy to have some time with one of my favorite people (Kristina!) and her family.  Everyone was very entertaining and the food was heavenly for a pregnant woman!

Baptised!

Baptised!

Not only did we have a great time, but I came home to uninjured boys, an exhausted but happy husband, a clean house and virtually no laundry!

Maria is so astute (for Nancy fans, that’s a fancy word for smart and observant). Girls rock.

We had the best time! It was so great to see ya’ll (yes, we say “ya’ll” in Tampa). BTW- I think you got the best picture of Savannah AND of her dress. I am so excited we’re going to come see you after the new Hemmersmeier is added to your roster. And don’t forget to talk to Dan about snow tubing (where there are no offending posts to run into!)
