I can’t help myself. I am so stinkin’ proud of Jack. His homework for the week included drawing a picture and writing a sentence about it. Here is what he did:
A year ago he was just learning to write his name and his pictures pretty much looked like blobs. Then this week he wrote this sentence completely on his own! Now, I do have to admit that he originally wrote “saw” as “sal”. BUT, he knew it wasn’t right and asked me what the right way was. I told him the “l” should be a “w” and he fixed it.
Notice he’s wearing a yellow shirt – his favorite color. And, he’s in a tent because he’s obsessed with the idea of going camping this summer.
Now, to balance out all this pride…
While I was mulling this post over in my head this afternoon I pulled some weeds and the kids played in the dirt. I finished up and needed to run an errand. Jack, being Jack, was COVERED in mud. I had him turn the hose on and, standing a foot or two back, I held it while he cleaned up. Out of NOWHERE he grabed the end of the hose and turned it on me!
I was drenched. Head to toe. ARRRRRGGGGGHHHH!
