Snow

October 27th, 2008 · 5 Comments · Parenting

It’s October 27th.  And it’s snowing here in Chicago.

My parents, lucky dogs, missed the snow by minutes.  They’re bound for the warmth of Austin.

The kids are doing a happy dance, but I’m wondering what we’ve gotten ourselves into.

Have I mentioned that our furnace isn’t working?

I hope that it blows through quickly and warms up again soon!

Yikes!! Super Cold!! Fortunately for me, we had a beautiful 65 degrees all day. You should have moved south!

Not good about the furnace. I can remember living in the living room for a week with blankets over the doors when ours went out growing up…leaving that room was deadly. We had the same thing happen when I was on a mountain in Germany and I was ready to do the same thing there…good luck!

The Farmer’s Almanac is predicting a snow-filled winter for the Midwest. My boys are already asking when they will get a snow day.
