I was beginning to wonder if Chicago had snow days. It turns out we do! With several inches of ice over night and continued snow expected throughout the morning, the call from the school came early this morning. Christmas break has begun!
I was a teeny bit sad for Maria, as she was supposed to have her kindergarten Christmas program this morning. But, as I snuggled down deep in the covers the sadness disappeared. Not that I was comfortable for long. It was no time before I had three other restless bodies in bed with me. Yes, three. My Number 1 was already outside shoveling snow with his Dad.
After some fun in the snow, it’s been a morning full of Play-Doh. Thanks to Aunt Anne, that’s TWENTY-FOUR cans of Play-Doh. (You cannot possibly create all you need to create without all 24 colors, you know.)
