Yesterday was the kindergarten Thanksgiving Feast at Jack’s school. The WHOLE FAMILY attended.
It was WONDERFUL! We were so proud of Jack and he was definitely proud of himself. He was so happy to see us, his smile could have beamed us to the moon and back.
The children dressed as pilgrims and indians and each read a line in a story about Thanksgiving. Jack’s line (delivered loudly and flawlessly) was, “THEY GATHERED SEEDS AND BERRIES TO EAT!”
The kids also performed a few songs, one of which was “Turkey Dinner.” You’ll have to ask him for a performance next time you see him. It’s adorable. (I am, of course, completely unbiased.)
Finally, just before the big feast, each child told the crowd what they are thankful for. Jack: “I’m thankful for Grandma and God.”
That should cinch his entry into heaven.
Later over play-doh, Jack and I discussed his performance.
Mom: Did you have fun?
Jack: Yeah… But I don’t like pilgrims.
Mom: Why? You made a great pilgrim!
Jack: Yeah, but it has a “grum” in it.
Mom: A what?
Jack: It has a “grum” in it. Like “GRUMpy.” I like indians much more better.

Is the little boy in the bottom picture on the right named Isaac?? I think I know him from Braden’s Karate class. Jack is adorable. Tell him he takes the “grum” OUT of Pil”grum”! Braden was Turkey Tom in his school play. I’d like to get some pics up…now if I can ever get the program reloaded after it crashed my system!!
