It’s always some kind of party when we get a box from Maddog and Gran. Today it was a jammie party, as we received a boxful of new jammies for everyone.
As you can see from the photos, my new camera isn’t quite the miracle I was hoping for. Don’t get me wrong — it’s
AWESOME. The photographs are sharp and beautiful and can take pictures faster than you can blink. However, there isn’t a “control the kids for a decent picture” button. Maybe Nikon will consider adding one to their next model. Or, maybe they could just add a stun gun attachment.
Back on the subject of jammies… As I write this, Dan is reading to the jammie-clad Jack and Maria before they turn in for the night. (All is fair here - The Little Boys already had their book.) He let them each pick a book. Maria chose “Cinderella”. Jack chose this book, given to us so generously by our good friend Kristina, mother of two boys. Does misery love company? Absolutely.
Already Jack has brought a note home this week for head-butting* another child in class. Just wait until TBTITWW sees Jack’s reading log for tonight. I’m sending in a brown paper bag because she’s going to hyperventilate. Dan’s definitely taking the call on that one.
*I’m sure it was a friendly head-butt…

John’s getting that book for Christmas. I haven’t read it yet. I hope he likes it. But not too much!

We have “The Big Book of Boy Stuff.” There are a ton of fun (i.e., dangerous) experiments that we have yet to try. If we survive them, we’ll graduate to the Dangerous Book for Boys.

Oh! I totally LOVE new jammies! I have a jammie addiction, though. Is there a program for that? I bet Thomas wishes there was….
