I just had to post a picture of these bookends I made for Maria. Aren’t they adorable? They were so easy – and inexpensive – to make with Uppercase Living expressions, glass blocks and ribbon. The hardest part was the bow-tying. (I’m horrible at bows.) Or, on second thought, the hardest part might have been the ribbon buying. I took three kids, two of which were crying before we ever got there, to Wal-Mart for ribbon this morning. I wanted to go to Hobby Lobby, but I’m not into self-torture this today.
I also put together this project – a monogram on white canvas. It’s one of the projects in the Uppercase Living Spring/Summer idea book. It turned out beautifully, don’tcha think? (Obviously, this isn’t the place it will reside – I just needed an existing nail to hang it from for the photo.) Again, the bow was the hardest part for me. Not too shabby, eh?

Those look great, Martha Stewart! You have me wondering how I can Macho them up to make some for Riley and Max.
