While Jack was getting dressed and Sam was still sleeping, Maria and Luke started on breakfast. I was running around the kitchen trying to prepare something for the other boys, clean and make coffee.
Luke (running over to where I am): Mom! I can’t eat my lunch. (Never mind that it’s breakfast.) I don’t have any power.
Funny how that power comes and goes. Just 2 minutes before, he had enough power to dump an entire box of spaghetti onto the floor while climbing like a monkey in the pantry.
On the way to preschool this morning, the subject of conversation was Luke’s voice.
Luke: Mom. Mom! Mooooooooooommmmmmm!!!!!
Me: Yes, Luke?
Luke: I lost my voice.
Me: Your voice?
Luke: Yeah. Are you going to get on a airplane with me and help me find my voice?
Me: Ummmm… How did you lose your voice? It doesn’t sound like you lost your voice. I can still hear you.
Luke: It got out of the house. Someone opened the garage door and it got out! Now it’s in the woods.
Maria: Mom! Luke’s voice is in the woods!
Strange how you can lose your voice and still tell the story of losing it at top volume.

That conversation was all over the place. Gives me a head ache just thinking about it.
