‘mas Tree

December 4th, 2008 · 1 Comment · Parenting

I started pulling out some Christmas decorations the other day.  One of the first things I came across was this plush tree.  I had bought it from Hallmark for the kids several years ago.  It seems pretty indestructible and it’s cute.  At the time, Hallmark also had some neat ornaments to hang on the buttons, but they were way more than I was willing to part with.  So, the tree remains as is.

For whatever reason, Sam has adopted the tree as his own.  He carries it around EVERYwhere.  He sleeps with it.  If he’s found without it, he’s asking for it.  “‘mas tree?” he says, with his hands up in a questioning manner.  It is so cute.  Especially when he’s in his footie pajamas dragging it around the house.

Not so cute, though, at 5:30 a.m. when he beams his mother in the head with it as he climbs into her bed.

He is letting you know that he is ready for Christmas. He wont miss it as long as he is carrying his tree!
