dsc_0010.jpgOver the weekend, Maria saw a blurb on TV that showed some girls dressing up their jeans with iron ons, bows and paint. “I want to paint my jeans!” She told me.

Hobby Lobby (our only craft store) is closed on Sundays, so, daredevil that I am, I took Sam and Luke to Hobby Lobby on Monday while she was at school. (Are you kidding?!? No, I didn’t go with The Little Boys by myself! I conned Kristina into helping me.) We found glittery fabric paint, stencils and brushes.dsc_0006.jpg

After school, Maria got busy. For an HOUR, we sat at the kitchen table decorating our jeans. Other than helping her tape the stencils on, she completed the entire project all by herself. They were dry and ready for her to show them off at school this morning. She is SO PROUD!!! (And she should be – they look super cool!)

This morning in the van, I had to switch out a headrest and in the process smacked Maria in the face with it. OUCH! I felt terrible. It hit her right below her eye. I apologized profusely and gave her some kisses.

“It’s okay, Mommy,” she said. “But you need to go to careful school. So you can learn to be more careful.”

Cute jeans! She looks very pleased with her work. Be sure to pass on the tips that you learn at careful school. I poked Luke in the eye the other day when I was helping him in the bath.

Take me and Caroline with you to careful school…I still remember how we somehow let Lucie fall down the escalator. Hopefully she’s forgotten that. :-)

They look so cool. Did you just use regular brushes? Can you send me the play by play on doing it? when it comes to crafts I am very stupid! :)
