Concentrating

September 27th, 2009 · 1 Comment · Family, Parenting

My 3-year-old just ran into the kitchen with my iPhone to show me how many matches he had on a memory game.  Then he said, “Good-bye, Mom!  I have to concentrate.” As, he left to play with the phone some more in the living room, I thought to myself, “Wow.  What a big boy using a word like that.”

Well, I guess he was concentrating a little too much, as a minute later he hollered (in a sing-song voice), “I went pee-ee!  Right here!”

I told him (as I was throwing him into the shower) that he should have put the phone down and gone pee in the bathroom.  “But then it would have turned off!” he told me.

Sheesh.

Oooops! Well, I’d still be pretty proud of him. Peeing on the furniture will pass, but the good vocabulary will stay with him forever.
