Our baby has been baptized!
At first, I was disappointed that none of our family members could make it here for the baptism of our fifth child.
Then, I realized, our family did make it!
The Remicks were able to come a few days early, so we managed to spend some quality time together.

Haha. Not really. But I thought it was a good title!
Seriously, though, last weekend, Jack celebrated his First Reconciliation, or First Confession. We were very proud of him, as it’s pretty nerve-wracking to pour all of your 7-year-old sins out to a priest. We were not so proud of our other three, who had ants [...]

Zoë was baptized on Sunday and Kyle had to [...]

My good friend Troy called me last night. I was a little surprised to hear from her. The baby isn’t due to be born until December 22nd, and Kyle is home on his mid-tour break from Afghanistan. No way should she be taking time away from her family right now to talk to me!
Anyway, she [...]

All week we’ve been planning to attend mass at one of the parishes where our children might be attending school. I was looking forward to church there and just seeing what the community was like. We had already been there to meet with the principal, but just in case, I had written down [...]
