I can’t believe I’ve let so much time pass between posts. I know you’ve all been desperately checking your computers daily to see what wonderful things I’ve posted, so I’m sorry to have disappointed. Part of the problem is an aging laptop and the inability to shoulder my way onto the good computer. Ever heard of Minecraft? It’s all anyone around here cares about. I think the house could explode and my boys would be found sitting there, still on the computer, virtually building virtual shit.
I have managed to pull the family away from the computer for a few things.
First, there was Luke’s birthday:

Then, there was the tree (not bought until AFTER the birthday festivities and trimmed 100% by children), and some forced-family-pictures:

And, of course, Christmas morning:

Yes, I do have FIVE children and they did all enjoy Christmas. I just didn’t get many pictures, as my hands were busy trying to control the utter chaos.
Since Christmas, we have played with Play-Doh non-stop (Andrew), tumbled rocks and listened to books on tape (Jack), played volleyball (Maria) and played quite a bit of hockey (Luke and Sam). We also managed to sneak in a quick trip to St. Louis.
I wish I could say I’m looking forward to a few days of calm-before-the-back-to-school-storm, but no such luck. Dan is having his wisdom teeth yanked tomorrow and my nursing skills have been demanded, in addition to my regular chauffeur, chef, seamstress, cleaning and tech support duties.
Pass the wine, please.

5!? Try 9. Yep and 7 are under 11. Actually 4 under 4. (15 yrs, 14, 10, 9, 6, 3, 2 (twins), and 3mos.)
Seriously, you have a beautiful family and I’m getting a lot out of your website. I’m an unorganized, disfunctional stay at home mom. I’m looking for any advice to get things straight. Thanks for sharing your ideas and experiences.
