June 25th, 2008 · No Comments · Moving

Holy crap and thank the Good Lord.  Three of the four are ASLEEP!  Right now!  At 3 in the afternoon!!!  YEEHAW!
No one got much sleep last night.  The kids wouldn’t GO to sleep and when they finally did, it was after 10 p.m.  Dan and I slept on the pull-out couch thinking the kids would [...]

A Lazy Saturday

June 21st, 2008 · 3 Comments · Family

Apparently some were lazier than others… Lukie apparently couldn’t even be bothered to put his undies on right this morning.

The Brow

June 19th, 2008 · No Comments · Parenting

This is Lukie.

Mowing through the bag of Dum-Dums

June 17th, 2008 · 1 Comment · Family, Food, Parenting

I went out on a limb this afternoon and mowed the lawn. Front and back. This wouldn’t be a big deal, except that a) I’ve never done it before; b) I wasn’t completely sure how to use the riding mower; and c) three of the four kids were conscious.
I had Jack show me [...]

Flowers Again Not From My Husband

June 14th, 2008 · 1 Comment · Parenting

As I was pulling out of the drive yesterday afternoon, I was stopped by the UPS man. He had a box for me! Flowers!!!
Who, I wondered, would be sending me flowers? Were they actually for Maria - an early birthday present? But they were addressed to me. I didn’t have [...]

You Gotta Love ‘em

June 12th, 2008 · 1 Comment · Family, Parenting

Last night when I kissed each of my kids goodnight as they lay sleeping in their beds, I thought about how much I love them. With all the commotion of the day-to-day, I rarely have time to reflect on the things that I love so much about each of my children. I mean, [...]

Tempting Fate

June 10th, 2008 · 1 Comment · Family, Friends, Parenting, Projects

Desperate for something to do today, I took the kids to The Pottery Room with my Mom’s Club.
Yes. You read that right. My kids… The Pottery Room.
You know, one of those places with shitloads of breakable things different types of pottery pieces that you can paint?
My kids didn’t break anything, so I’d say [...]
